14/11: Two new songs are now completely finished and a third is almost done.
So you can say that we're moving forward. We have not decided which studio we will be entering for the recording of the upcoming demo, but we aim on doing so rather soon.
After rehearsing together with us for a while, Marcus Hinze (also in
Ondskapt) is now the official drummer of the band.
New bandphotos will be up here as soon as possible.


16/9: We have returned! After a way too long break we are finally getting things done again. A lot has happened since the last update so I'll let you in on the most important stuff:
Unfortuneatly Hans has been forced to leave the band due to the fact that he's moving in a few weeks. he will be gone for about a year so we decided to continue our work with a new drummer. Maybe Hans will join us in some way when he comes back, you never know, but we won't lay down and die during his absence.
We wish him all the best!

As some of you might have figured out, the sound of the new material is rather different from the old since Hans won't be writing any of these new pieces. But that's a different issue, you'll hear when it's out, probably in the beginning of 2007.
The new drummer will be announced soon. He's only sessiondrummer for now, though we don't know what lies ahead.

Last but not least, no gigs will be performed before (earliest) December.
If you'd like to book us, please contact us but know that we're not able to play before that.

No more this time around. One new song is complete, and more material is in the making right now. We aim on an early 2007 release. More updates will follow as the songs are being finished.


6/2: Next gig will be in Kiruna in late March/early April.

17/12: Where should I begin this time... As always we've been very lazy updating this page, but we've had our reasons.
However, things are starting to move again and we are confirmed for two gigs in early 2006. Read more in the gigs-section.

A new song has been written and hopefully one more will be finished for those gigs. These songs will be the first parts of a demo that we're aiming to release sometime in 2006.
Due to the long distances between all members, rehearsals are a bit tricky these days, but we'll do our best to get another killer out there soon.

Finally Retribution would like to thank everybody who attended the Nordic Rage Festival and made it a night to remember. Also a huge thank to Nicke and the other folks who arranged the festival.
It was a blast! That's it for now, but our webmaster is back in
Sweden again so we'll keep the page more alive than it has been for the last 9 months. Over and out.

20/1: As you all can see the new page is up. Since the previous one we've updated discography, gallery, biography, members and links. We've also added a reviews-section where you can read the reviews that we've got for the demos.

The new demo, entitled Vol. 4, is near completion and will most likely be out for sale next week. One song will be available for download (go to media) as soon as possible. We would like to thank Nicke at snabelhuset and TOTEM for financial support.

As we said earlier we are scheduled to play at Ebeneser, Luleå, the 5th of February at 13.30 so don't miss it.


2004


15/12: We've been in the studio this weekend and recorded almost everything except the vocals. So far it sounds really brutal, just the way we want it to be. Everything will be finished next week, but we havent done the cover for the record yet so it'll take a while until it's released. Last but not least we got a gig this thursday (16/12) at christinaskolan here in Piteå. Some new songs will be played so don't miss it.


6/12: Just a few days left now before we start recording our fourth demo. It's yet untitled but we'll get back with more info about tracklist and stuff soon. 9 or 10 songs will be included so it will be something to look forward to. A new webpage is also in the progress. Hopefully it will be up sometime early next year.

We are also confirmed for another gig. It will be at Ebeneser, Luleå, in the beginning of February. Be sure to be there as we will do one hell of a show.


19/10: Some serious news. We will be entering Snabelhuset Studios in the middle of December to record a new (hopefully the last) demo. It will be four or five new songs and also some re-recordings of the songs from "Ahead the days of Reprisal". All in all there will be about eight tracks. Right now we put all our effort into rehearsing these songs and writing material as there are no gigs or anything planned.


27/9: Today the first Retribution interview was published at the German website Metal-Inside. It's in german but we'll soon get a translation and then it will be put here on this page together with some reviews. I also updated some links that were not working and added a few new.


23/9: In Close Up Magazine nr 69 we got a really good review for the "Ahead.." demo. It got 8/10 points and was described as a good mixture of all the subgenres in deathmetal (naming bands such as Dissection and Entombed). We want to thank Marcus Grahn for taking his time to finally listen to the record. So all of you out there who haven't already got a copy, make sure to get one now. That's about it for now, see you at the gigs in October.


5/9: Two gigs confirmed. We will play here in Piteå the 8th of October at Christinasalen. The day after that we'll go to Luleå to play at "Lördagsrock". So everybody who lives somwhere near these locations should come to support us and see one hell of a show! Two new songs should be finsihed by then so it will definately be worth the time and effort.


26/8: Some updates. We have added a new song to the sounds section. It's a track from Ahead the Days of Reprisal entitled "End of the Rope". Short, fast, really cool song. Download it now and give us your opinion in our guestbook. We've also added a few new links to some bands and various sites that are worth checking out.

Needless to say the gig at PDOL was amazing. The audience was the best we've ever had and we thank all of you who were in the front helping us tear the demostage apart! One new song is finished and we performed it at PDOL as well. If everything works out the way it should we will probably enter the studio this winter sometime.


18/7: The gig at PDOL will be on Partyscenen the 29th of July at 23.00. One new song will probably be played if we manage to finish it before the gig.


30/6: Long time since the last update but now it's time again to inform you about what's going on in the Retribution camp. First of all, we've been confirmed for the local festival Pitea Dansar och Ler where we also played last year. That was one of the best gigs we've done so far and we hope that this gig will be as much fun as last years. The festival will take place in Pitea between the 28th of July and the first of August. Exact date and time will be up on this page soon. The first Retribution interview will be done in a few days. It's for the german webzine Metal-Inside and we're really grateful that Lars (one of the people in charge of the zine) gives us a chance to do this interview.

We've just started to rehearse again after a months break and hopefully a new song will be finished before the gig at PDOL. At the moment there's not much more going on. See you at Pitea Dansar och Ler!

13/4: Unfortunately we had to cancel the gig with Defleshed, Rotten Sound and Sotajumala due to problems with the drums. Our bassist also got suspension of leave from the goddamned military only a couple of days before the show. However, we had a blast together with the bands and would like to thank them for the excellent performances. Hopefully we'll play together someday.

Now the date is set for the upcoming recording. We'll be in the studio between the 30th of April and May 4th. It will be four songs on the yet untitled demo. The studio is once again Snabelhuset and the guy we'll be working with is Peter Alakangas. The demo will also feature the video for "The Awakening", taken from "Carnage of Autumn".

1/4: We are finished editing the video for "The Awakening". All of you who are interested in seeing it should contact us through retribution_666@hotmail.com. The upcoming gig together with Defleshed will be in just a few days so be sure to visit us at Kårhuset on Monday. And finally, the studio for the next demo will be Snabelhuset(again) and the recordingsession will be in the beginning of May, unless the studio is booked.


25/3: The gig in Boden was really great. We'd like to thank the audience and especially Project Genocide, Crystalis, Deadlock and B-low. If someone took pictures of our set we would be glad if you could mail us so we can get hold of them. Now there's only one and a half week (5th of April) to the gig together with Defleshed, Rotten Sound and Sotajumala so start preparing yourself. We really hope that everyone that enjoys that kind of music (who doesn't?) will show up. The upcoming demo is closing in. Three songs are complete and two more will be written before we enter the studio, which probably will be in the beginning of May.


16/2: It's been some time since the last update so I thought I could give you a bit of information about what's going on in the Retribution camp. We are right now in the process of making a vido for the song "The Awakening" from our second demo Carnage of Autumn. It will be really cool. Low budget but still great. We have two gigs coming up, one in Boden together with Project Genocide, Deadlock and another band the 20th of March. The other gig will be in Piteå together with Defleshed and Rotten Sound, this is not confirmed yet but we hope that everything will work out. Some new material for the upcoming release has been written but no date for the studio has been set. That's about it for now, but we'll get back as soon as we have some new info.


2003


30/11: Two songs for our upcoming demo are now complete. Other news is that Kristoffer has left the band. We have started the search for a new bassist and we don't believe that it will be a major problem finding one. Retribution will probably be featured in a radioshow this thursday. It's a local radioshow and we'll get back to you with more info before the broadcast.


14/10: Another song is almost complete and it's a real killer! However, the recording may be postponed because we want to rehearse the new material as much as we can before we enter the studio. I think it will be sometime early spring. New bandphotos will appear on this site as soon as possible and maybe some other updates. Nothing more to be said this time than beware of our next release.


15/9: Not much going on these days actually but I just want to make you aware of the fact that we are alive. Two new songs has been written for the next demo, "Christ is Dead" and one yet untitled. 3 more will be done before we enter the studio in January. Retribution will also participate on the sixth volume of the well known Voices of death compilation cd, entitled "Voices of death part 666". Also we're hoping to make some gigs this autumn, so if you know of any place in your town that might accept us just send us a mail. That's about it for now. There will probably be more updates on this page now so keep visiting.


5/7: Hello. We've got two new reviews. One is on Metalheart Webzine (www.metalheart.2ya.com) and the other is in Doomsday Mag (www.doomsdaymag.tk). More important news is that Retribution will play at Piteå Dansar Och Ler in the end of July. Thursday the 24th at 10pm. Right now we're rehearsing for the gig and some new material has been written. The next demo will probably be recorded in December. And it will be released much faster this time. A cassette version will also be done on that recording. Something for the oldschool freaks.


17/5: New review up on Extreme Terror Webzine (www.extreme-terror.com). This one's also really positive, 4.5/5 points. Thanks to Micke Backelin for the nice review and cool zine.


12/5: A song from "Carnage Of Autumn" will probably be played on Apocalypse radio (www.apocalypseradio.dot.nu) this thursday. Hopefully we will know what time it will be played in a few days. So keep checking out this page for more info.
